DOWNTOWN
DROP-IN CENTRE

0M1A5849.jpg

A safe place to be. 24/7/365.

Visit us downtown, across the street from St. Paul’s Hospital, at 1138 Burrard.

We’re low-barrier. But what does that mean? It means you can come as you are.

  • we won’t turn you away if you have pets (we can accept up to 4 pets).

  • we won’t turn you away for substance use.

  • we won’t turn you away if you’re struggling with your mental health.

The Drop-In Centre is open to youth ages 13-24.

We take an ‘under one roof’ approach to services, which means you can get a lot of what you need, well, under one roof.

Here you can:

  • Get snacks, breakfasts, dinners, and groceries

  • Use the restroom

  • Take hot showers

  • Wash your clothes

  • Store personal items in our lockers

  • Get harm reduction supplies, safe use kits, and info

  • Attend 2SLGBTQIA+ events, Indigenous workshops, and other life skills and activities events and workshops

  • Get clothing, shoes, toiletries, and other goods

  • Hang out with our Counsellor

I feel safe when I am at Directions. When I started coming here I got treated with respect, had something to eat and a place to relax. Directions gave me a safe place to focus on my situation and help make it better.
