We support street-involved, at-risk, and homeless youth
Directions Youth Services, a division of Family Services of Greater Vancouver, has been offering low-barrier programs and services to youth under the age of 25 for more than 30 years. We aim to get youth out of crisis mode, and our interventions help them go from surviving to thriving.
How? We start with the supports that get unhoused youth what they need to stabilize: a safe place to sleep, meals to eat, and access to other basic necessities like housing, employment, and life-skills supports. This puts them in a better position to be able to focus on what’s next – then we’re able to help them get where they want to be.
About Family Services of Greater Vancouver
FSGV has supported vulnerable children, youth, and families across the Lower Mainland since 1928. We offer programs and services that help people develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to create positive change in their lives. Our programs span poverty reduction, crisis support, and counselling, with experienced counsellors and support workers operating from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens to build brighter tomorrows.
