Our internship program is an exciting opportunity for students to learn on the job and hone their skills. At DYS, we approach service delivery from a youth- and trauma-informed lens. We believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and lived experiences, and we are here to walk alongside youth as they figure out what’s next in their lives. We offer a workplace culture of respectful consultation and mutual support.
Placements most often support students who are studying social work degrees or Child and Youth Worker diplomas. We are proud of our associations with students from UBC, UVic, Douglas College, Langara College, and Sprott Shaw College.
